The next meeting of the Pacific Coast Section of the SEG will be May 1 at 11:30 am. The speaker for May will be anounced shortly. We will taking April off due to the excellent line up of geophysicual talks arranged by Gary and Bill. See you again in May!

The next meeting of the San Joaquin Geological Society will be Tuesday, March 11th at the American Legion Hall. The speaker will be Dr Stephen Hickman from the U.S. Geological Survey's Earthquake Hazards Team. The title of his talk will be "Structure and Properties of the San Andreas Fault at Seismogenic Depths: Recent Results from the SAFOD Experiment". The next meeting of the SJWLS will be Wednesday, Mar. 19, 2008 from 11:30am - 1:00pm at the Petroleum Club. The speaker will be Zhiyi Zhang from Shell and the title of his talk will be "Triaxial Induction Logging - An operator's perspective".
